Issue/Rationale
This project is listed in the 2009-2010 Educational Facilities Plan. The award of a construction project in excess of $25,000.00 requires School Board approval.
The bid opening was held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. The project had four (4) bidders.
Recommended Action
Award the construction contract to Childers Roofing & Sheetmetal, Inc., the low bidder meeting specifications, the base bid in the amount of $189,500.00.
Financial Impact
The low bidder meeting specifications, Childers Roofing & Sheetmetal, Inc., had a total bid award of $189,500.00. The funds are available and budgeted in the Educational Facilities Plan.
